Tax
The Crasus Chemical Group upholds the following policies.
1. Basic Approach
We recognize that contributing to the development of society through the proper payment of taxes in all countries and regions in which we conduct our business activities is one of our fundamental social responsibilities as a corporation.
2. Compliance with Laws and Regulations
We will comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and tax treaties in each country or region in which we conduct our business activities and will fulfill our tax obligations in a proper manner.
3. Compliance Framework
We will assign appropriate personnel to our tax function and establish a framework that is capable of correctly addressing tax-related issues that arise in the course of daily business operations. In addition, through continuous training and other initiatives, we will strive to maintain and enhance our tax compliance awareness while responding promptly and appropriately to newly established, revised, or abolished tax regimes and regulations in each country or region in which we conduct our business activities.
4. Tax Governance
Under the direction of the General Manager of the Finance and Accounting Headquarters, the Finance and Accounting Department of Crasus Chemical Inc. will work in cooperation with the accounting departments of Group companies and establish and maintain a framework under which—in the event that material tax-related issues arise or are likely to arise at Group companies—such issues are promptly reported by the relevant Group companies to the Finance and Accounting Department, thereby enabling the Group to strive to address such issues in a unified manner.
5. Tax Planning
Within the scope of ordinary business activities, we will strive to enhance corporate value by utilizing preferential tax regimes available in each country, while ensuring proper tax payments.
We will neither engage in tax planning without substantive business activities nor engage in tax avoidance practices using tax havens.
6. Relationship with Tax Authorities
When tax authorities in countries and regions in which we conduct our business activities request the provision of information, we will strive to promptly provide accurate information.
