On January 1, 2025, Crasus Chemical Inc. (President: Hirotsugu Fukuda, hereinafter "Crasus Chemical") started as an independent corporation, having been born through the splitting off of Resonac Corporation’s petrochemical business. We aim to become a company that is considered essential by, and that co-exists with, local communities as well as society at large.

Increase earning power

Our business policy is to pursue stable growth by leveraging the strong competitiveness of the Oita Petrochemical Complex, our major production base. In line with this policy, we aim to create a “co-creative and green petrochemical complex” based on co-existing relationships formed with local communities and society at large while developing products with higher added value and seeking alliances to expand business.

Take on challenges to achieve carbon neutrality

Crasus Chemical is committed to achieving net-zero emissions on a group basis by 2050. To fulfill this commitment, we will set realistic GHG emissions reduction targets and lay out an appropriate road map to attain those targets. We will strive to achieve carbon neutrality while maintaining and enhancing business competitiveness by reconciling these two issues—which are generally considered as being mutually exclusive. To address these challenges, we will seek partnerships with a number of companies from inside and outside our industry, in addition to making independent efforts.
